    ASP Pathways Level 2

Have you ever thought of becoming an ASP electrician? There are significant benefits including job security, competitive wages and a variety of opportunities. Let’s look a little deeper into the benefits of becoming a qualified AP electrician.

    Wide range of career opportunities

Becoming an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) Level 2 electrician in NSW opens up a wide array of career opportunities. You’ll learn specialised skills in connecting, disconnecting, and maintaining service lines, and you can work with various electricity distributors or private contractors. Jobs range from residential to commercial and industrial settings.

ASP Level 2 electricians are always in demand for tasks such as installing and upgrading electrical meters, working on overhead and underground service lines, and providing temporary power solutions for construction sites and events

    Job security

The reality is, everybody needs electricity and that isn’t going to change any time soon. With Australia making a shift towards renewable energy sources, there is expected to be plenty of work available in upgrading, altering and maintaining the electricity network to meet changing demands.

As energy consumption continues to rise, the expertise of ASP electricians becomes even more crucial. The result is a lot of job security because as long as you do your job well, you’ll always find work in the ESI.

Varied roles make each day interesting

One of the most appealing aspects of being an ASP Level 2 electrician is the roles you can perform. From installing new power connections and upgrading existing ones to diagnosing and repairing electrical faults, every day is different.

The varying jobs you can perform as a level 2 electrician keep each day interesting. but they also allow you to expand your knowledge. The more experience you gain, the more opportunities you can find.

    Competitive wages

There are always competitive wages in the electrical supply industry (ESI). This is because electricity distributors and other ASPs recognise the value of skilled, qualified, reliable employees. To keep the best electricians in the ESI, companies need to offer good salaries. There is also usually the opportunity for overtime, bonuses and other perks, depending on your role and who you work for.

    Contribute to vital infrastructure

Finally, if you want a job that helps people and contributes to a better society, look no further than becoming an ASP electrician. The network aims to provide a seamless flow of electricity to homes and businesses across NSW, and you play a key role in keeping the lights on. Also, for those interested in renewable energy, you’ll likely contribute to Australia’s green energy shift over the coming years.

Want to become an ASP electrician?

Becoming an ASP electrician requires a certain level of training. This allows you to register as an Accredited Service Provider and work for one of the major electricity distributors.
