ASP Annual Refresher Training
This refresher training program is designed for authorised personnel who require ongoing access to work on or near our network infrastructure.
The training includes:
HLTAID009 - Provide CPR
UETDREL006 - Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non electrical worker
UETDRMP010 - Provide first aid in an ESI environment
UETDRMP007 - Perform rescue from a live LV panel
UETDRMP006 - Perform pole top rescue
UETDRMP005 - Perform EWP rescue
UETDRMP004 - Perform EWP controlled descent escape
UETDRMP011 - Testing of connections to low voltage electricity networks
With the option to include:
UETDRMP002 - Endeavour Energy
UETDRMP002 - Essential Energy
Crane and Plant
Electrical safety training for crane and plant operators, covering safe working distances and rescue procedures near energised electrical apparatus.
This couse can be taken as an initial (2 day) or refresher (1 day).
The training includes:

UETDREL006 - Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non electrical worker
UETDRMP007 - Perform rescue from a LV voltage panel
With the option to include:
UETDRMP010 - Provide first aid in an ESI environment

ASP Pathways Level 1
This training enables you to achieve a nationally recognised Level 1 ASP qualification, allowing you to work on electrical distribution networks. IAC offers specialised training programs for the different Level 1 ASP classes.
IAC offers training in:
Class 1A - Overhead
Class 1B - Underground paper lead and polymeric
Class 1C - Underground polymeric only
Class 1X - Non electrically qualified
ASP Pathways Level 2
The Level 2 ASP training qualifies you to work as a Level 2 electrician under the ASP Scheme in NSW. This allows you to perform specific electrical tasks on the electricity distribution network, including installing and maintaining underground and overhead service lines, as well as metering and energising installations.
IAC offers training in:
Class 2A - Disconnect and reconnect at a connection point
Class 2B - Underground services
Class 2C - Overhead services
Class 2D - Metering
Cable Jointing
The Cable Jointing course trains electrical workers to expertly connect underground cables, ensuring safe and reliable electricity distribution. By completing this program, students gain the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to become qualified cable jointers.
IAC offers the following units:
UETDRDU012 - Joint, terminate and maintain high voltage underground paper insulated cable
UETDRDU013 - Joint, terminate and maintain high voltage underground polymeric cable
UETDRDU014 - Joint, terminate and maintain low voltage underground paper insulated cable
UETDRDU015 - Joint, terminate and maintain low voltage underground polymeric cable
UETDRDU016 - Lay power cables
UETDRDU019 - Transition joint high voltage paper insulated cable to high voltage polymeric cable
Mobile Training
The IAC Mobile Rescue Training Unit (MRTU) delivers safety training courses in regional towns across NSW. This eliminates the need for travel to larger cities, making crucial safety training more accessible for individuals and businesses in remote areas.
MRTU offers training in:

Certificate II in ESI Asset Inspection and Testing
This certificate prepares students for a career inspecting and reporting on the condition of electrical distribution system assets. On completion you will be eligible to work as Electrical Powerline Asset Inspectors. The course covers the relevant regulations, codes of practice and safety procedures required to perform these duties safely and effectively.

Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems Distribution Overhead
The course is designed to give students the skills and knowledge to work as an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) on the electricity supply distribution network in NSW, Australia. ASPs are authorized to perform specific tasks on the network, such as installing and maintaining overhead cables and poles.

Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems Distribution Cable Jointing The course is designed to train individuals to become Accredited Service Providers (ASPs) for underground electricity cables in NSW. It is suitable for electrical workers who are looking to switch careers or for those who want to earn a higher qualification. Upon successful completion, graduates will be qualified to work on underground electricity cables.
